Welcome to The Bridge Alternative Provision

The Bridge Alternative Provision Portfolio Pupil Referral Unit is a specialist provision for primary and secondary age pupils who have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.  Admission to the Bridge is through the CAMHs Panel or the Access to Education Panel. Pupils are dually registered with their mainstream school and can attend full time or part time depending on the recommendation from the Panel.

 

Revolving Door – Foundation Phase to KS3

 

Revolving door pupils experience learning opportunities through a thematic approach. Primary pupils access four half day sessions at the Bridge, whilst KS3 attend two full days.The remainder of the time is spent in mainstream to ensure pupils have access to a broad and balanced curriculum and maintain a sense of belonging with the mainstream school.

 

EOTAS (Educated other than at School)

 

The EOTAS Provision is designed to meet the specific needs of pupils who cannot attend school for various reasons. Pupils are educated individually or in small groups either at home through a virtual package or in designated premises in the local community.

 

Tŷ Llidiard

Tŷ Llidiard is an Adolescent Mental Health Unit based in the Princess of Wales Hospital. The Learning Centre operates a full timetable during school hours and all patients of statutory school age are invited to attend.  Links are made, with permission from parents, with the young person’s main educational establishment to ensure the continuity of studies.
